Abstract

This article examines the history of Islamic thought and social education regarding universalism and neo revivalism using library research or literature study methods, that is data collection through literature review which involves data collection and analysis of various literature sources that are relevant to the history of pemi Islamic education and social purpose regarding universalism and neo revivalism. The purpose of this research is to know the history of Islamic thought and social education regarding universalism and neo revivalism. The results obtained from this research are: first, Islamic universalism is an Islamic treasure intended to all human beings in the world. According to Abdurrahman Wahid in Syaiful Arif's order, Islamic universalism shows itself from a variety of best important implementations or manifestations in the religion of Allah. Secondly, neo revivalism describes sustainable traditions and seeks to revival muslim faith and basic religious practices in Islam. The neo revivalism group emerged as a response to classic modernism thought and has three fundamental reasons.
