Optimalisasi Potensi Qori’ Lokal: Implementasi Program Pelatihan Tilawah Al-Qur’an di Desa Kemiri, Jenangan, Ponorogo
Abstract
The ability to accurately and properly recite the Qur’an represents a fundamental skill within the religious life of Muslim communities. Nevertheless, in Kemiri Village, Jenangan Sub-district, Ponorogo, the majority of residents continue to encounter limitations in Qur’anic recitation due to insufficient formal guidance and underdeveloped basic competencies. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The training program encompassed instruction in tajwid rules, the articulation of letters (makhraj), and recitation techniques utilizing selected maqamat. The findings demonstrate a notable improvement in participants’ Qur’anic recitation skills, encompassing both technical mastery and self-confidence in public performance. Moreover, the initiative fostered greater enthusiasm for Qur’anic learning among community members and contributed to the emergence of new potential qari and qariah cadres. In conclusion, the recitation training proved to be an effective strategy for community empowerment in the religious domain, while simultaneously enhancing local spiritual and social capital. The program further presents potential for replication in other communities with comparable contexts.
