This bibliometric study explores the scientific landscape focusing on the integration of metaphysical anthropology or philosophical anthropology within the field of philosophy. The research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the developments, trends, and patterns in studies related to this interdisciplinary topic. The significance of metaphysical anthropology in shaping a radical understanding of the nature of human beings has been widely recognized. This study seeks to identify key themes, research gaps, and influential contributions in this field. A systematic search was conducted using the Scopus database, focusing on articles published between 1951 and 2023. Keywords such as metaphysical anthropology or philosophical anthropology were used to identify relevant literature. Bibliometric analysis was applied to examine publication trends, influential authors, central themes, and key journals in this research area. By using bibliometric methods, this study maps the intellectual development of research related to metaphysical anthropology within philosophical contexts. This approach provides quantitative insights into the progression of scientific discourse over time. Preliminary findings indicate a significant increase in studies focusing on the essence of human beings and their ontological status in the realm of philosophy in recent years. The study highlights the major research themes, influential scholars, and key journals that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this interdisciplinary field, and lays a foundation for future research.
