Maqashid Syariah in Islamic Law for 10 Years

A Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract

This study aims to explore the trend of research publications on Maqashid Syariah and Islamic Law over the past 10 years. The method used to explore research trends is a literature review through bibliometric analysis. The results of bibliometric analysis, identification of core research or authors, and their relationships, include all publications related to a particular topic or field. Publications related to Maqashid Syariah and Islamic Law from 2014 to 2024 are taken from Scopus. The research trend of Maqashid Syariah and Islamic Law is visualized using the Bibliometrix program. The results of the study show that the research trend on Maqashid Syariah and Islamic Law has continued to increase over the past 10 years, especially in the last five years. Network analysis based on the emergence of keywords shows that the main research keywords are Maqashid Syariah and Islamic Law. Based on the analysis of the field of study, Maqashid Syariah and Islamic Law have been widely studied in the context of religious education and Islamic studies. The benefits of this study are to describe the extent to which the concept of Maqashid Syariah is applied in Islamic Law studies and how it affects the development of contemporary Islamic law.
