Pemberdayaan UMKM Berbasis Dana Infaq: Model Lembaga Manajemen Infaq (LMI) Ponorogo dalam Membangun Kemandirian Ekonomi Umat

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the empowerment of MSMEs through economic programs aimed at improving the well-being of the Muslim community, conducted by Lembaga Manajemen Infaq (LMI) in Ponorogo. It also identifies the obstacles faced during this empowerment process and evaluates its overall impact. LMI strives to help mustahik become productive entrepreneurs, but MSME empowerment efforts face challenges. The research applies a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through interviews with LMI staff and MSME actors, as well as observations and documentation. The data is analyzed by organizing the information, presenting the results, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that MSME empowerment by LMI Ponorogo is implemented through business capital assistance, training in using social media for marketing, packaging design, and obtaining halal certifications. The main constraints for LMI are its limited human resources and expertise in supporting MSMEs' development. Meanwhile, MSME actors face a lack of skills, capital, marketing experience, and technological knowledge. To overcome these challenges, LMI collaborates with external parties that have relevant expertise. As a result, the initiative has increased income, created jobs, and strengthened business growth. However, MSME actors still struggle with market access and using technology effectively to expand their businesses.
