The Effectiveness of Rotation Model Using Beelinguapp to Enhance Students’ Speaking Skills at MAN 3 Madiun

Speaking is an essential skill in English language learning, but many students have difficulty developing their speaking proficiency due to limited vocabulary, poor pronunciation, low self-confidence, and lack of practice opportunity. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the Rotation Model using Beelinguapp to enhance the speaking skills of students at MAN 3 Madiun. This study employed quantitative approach with quasi-experimental design that consisted of pre-test and post-test as well as control group. By using cluster random sampling, two eleventh-grade classes were selected as research samples which included an experimental group taught through the Rotation Model using Beelinguapp and control group taught through Presentation-Practice-Production (PPP) method. Data were collected through oral speaking tests that assessed pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, fluency, and comprehension, and were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that the post-test data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, the independent samples t-test revealed that there was significant difference between the experimental and control groups (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 < 0.05). The findings suggested that the Rotation Model using Beelinguapp was effective to enhance students' speaking skills by encouraging active participation, self-directed learning, and continuous speaking practice. This study highlighted the potential of integrating blended learning and mobile-assisted language learning to enhance speaking instruction in the EFL context.
